The executive’s role

This book is specifically targeted at team leaders working with a frontline team delivering whatever is the normal business of your organisation. It is not focussed on the senior leaders in the organisation. Senior leaders have teams, but teams that are made up mostly of other managers.

Having said this, many of the lessons in this book are applicable no matter how senior you are. There are additional challenges for executives leading change in an organisation. These challenges include the need to lead organisation-wide change initiatives, affecting large numbers of people, often in multiple locations.
