Coordinate system properties

In ArcGIS Pro, you can view the coordinate systems in an easy-to-use Coordinate System properties section in the map Properties window. This Properties window is also available when you create a New Feature Class or raster. The following will run through an exercise where you will change the projection of an existing Map Frame:

  1. Open Chapter7.aprx, and you should see a Map Frame called Choosing a projection. Click it to bring it up, if it's not already. You can see that there is a layer called Contiguous 48, which is the contiguous 48 states of the USA.
