Before you design and build your mashup, certain preparations must be made. Primary areas of concern are requirements and constraints, security, governance, stability, data, implementation, testing, and performance. Certain aspects of each area of concern are unique to the environment of enterprise mashups in respect to other enterprise software disciplines, since the development model of mashups relies on a high degree of internal and external community involvement.
