Traditional Addition

Traditional addition is the way we were all taught, right? You are probably thinking that’s the only way you know how to add numbers! When adding traditionally, the number is added from right to left, one place at a time, carrying numbers if required. If traditional addition is a struggle for your child, however, this approach is not your only option. Many children have a hard time remembering to carry their numbers, or they carry the wrong number to the next place value.
