Traditional Multiplication

Traditional multiplication is probably the way you learned to do multiplication when you were young. Presumably, this is the one way that you know how to multiply and you use it when needed. Solving a multiplication problem in the traditional manner, you move from right to left, multiplying as you go and regrouping as necessary. Often, however, children forget to multiply one of the numbers in a larger problem or to line up the numbers under the correct place value.
