Insert a Picture
Word allows you to insert pictures into your documents. For example, you can insert a digital photograph or a scanned image, as well as most types of graphic files. When you acquire your images from a digital camera or scanner, you should make a note of where you save them. You will need their folder location to put them into your document.
By default, when you insert a picture, Word displays the pictures in the My Pictures folder in Windows XP, or the Pictures folder in Windows Vista.
You can switch to another drive or folder to find the picture that you want to insert. You can also preview your files before you select a picture to insert.
