Adding audio to the slides

Adding audio to the slides is, by far, the most interesting place to use audio in Captivate. Typically, slide level audio is where you add voiceover narration. Slide level audio is also the only audio where you can apply closed captioning. You will learn more about closed captioning in Chapter 12, Creating Accessible eLearning.

There are three ways to add audio at slide level:

  • The narration can be produced entirely within Captivate
  • The narration can be produced in an external application and imported into Captivate
  • Text-To-Speech can generate the audio clips

In this section, you will experiment with these three options one by one.
