Grouping objects

The next tool discussed in this chapter is the ability to group objects together. When objects are grouped, you can manipulate them as a single entity. This means that you can, for example, move the entire group of objects without breaking their alignment to each other. You can also apply effects to a group (rather than applying effects to each object of the group) and control the visibility of an entire group of objects using actions and variables.

Applying effects will be discussed later in this chapter. Variables and actions will be covered in Chapter 13, Working with Variables and Advanced Actions.
