Alerting

Grafana has the inbuilt capability to alert even when the web UI is not being used. When an alert in a dashboard is saved, it is extracted into dedicated storage for validation on the server side, and scheduled accordingly. During the alert setup, there are multiple options for an alert to be triggered, along with different integrations, such as email, Kafka, PagerDuty, and Slack.

But the template variable is not compatible with alerting, which is the biggest drawback on the part of Grafana's architecture for the alerting process.
