The idea behind incremental repairs is pretty simple—mark certain data as repaired, and don't bother repairing it until it changes. However, incremental repairs are still inherently broken, and there have been consistency issues reported with its use. They should be fixed with the release of Apache Cassandra 4.0, but the current warning with incremental repairs is to use them only at your own risk! When in doubt, use -full repairs.
