Exploring the NWD File
As mentioned in earlier chapters, an NWD file is a snapshot of the model that can be packaged and forwarded to users without the need for the original source files to display properly. The benefit of this format extends beyond the core Navisworks application, because this file can also be viewed in several free viewers. That way, users can interact with the model and reference additional information such as comments, object properties, or even saved viewpoints and animations.
