FOCUSING AND IMAGE SHARPNESS
Lunch on the go for a Tricolored Heron! Again and again it comes half running, half flying over a shallow Florida pond, occasionally stabbing its beak into the water to catch a fish. I plant myself securely on the bank and adjust my camera settings to capture the lightning fast action: fast shutter speed, continuous shooting rate, and autofocus system optimized to track the heron’s erratic movements. My own internal switch is set on “fastest reaction time,” too!
