BIRD PHOTOGRAPHY HOTSPOTS
Certain special places have characteristics that make them magnets for birds: abundant food, safe habitat for nesting or roosting, or location on a migratory pathway for instance. Add accessibility to humans, and you have the recipe for a bird photography hotspot. In this chapter, I’ll share some of my favorite North American destinations—each famous for bird species diversity and/or abundance, site accessibility, and subject approachability. Plus, I’ll offer photography tips based on my own experiences.
