This book is the result of more than 15 years of modeling work starting in academia and the aerospace industry, particularly the assembly of engines for the European Ariane rocket program. Part of it also comes from what I have learned in my finance career in the City of London, including time at KPMG, Fortis Bank (now part of BNP Paribas), and Chamonix Private Equity as well as IFC (the private sector arm of the World Bank Group). Finally, this book is also the result of years of teaching financial modeling in many European and African institutions, including banks, private equity firms, business schools (at the MBA level), and engineering schools (at the masters level).
