UE4 offers a huge array of audio-based classes that can be as simple as USoundBase, or incredibly complex combinations of branching dialog and specially applied FX.

Let's first just walk through the major classes to make sure it's clear what capabilities already exist. If you just right-click to add an asset and hover on the sound fly-out, you'll see a list like this:
