Know Your Platform and How to Adapt Shaders!

Knowing what platform you are developing for is obviously key to any performance optimization, especially in the graphics and shader department. For example, let's say we're aiming to include mid-performance Android phones and tablets as a platform. The fastest way to test what things may look like there is to go to the main editor menu's settings drop-down menu, then Preview Rendering Level, Mobile / HTML5, and pick Android Preview.
