Chapter 3. Automating the Windows 7 Installation
As you saw in the previous chapter, installing Windows 7 is quick and easy. But as an IT manager and professional, you might have to install hundreds of copies of Windows 7. You wouldn't want to do that one machine at a time.
You can automate the installation of Windows 7 in several ways. You can use the Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT) to deploy Windows 7 in your organization. The MDT will help you automate your desktop and server deployments.
You can also perform an unattended installation by using Windows Deployment Services (WDS) to remotely deploy unattended installations (which requires a Windows Server 2008 machine), or by using the System Preparation Tool for disk imaging.
