AEROBIC VERSUS ANAEROBIC SYSTEMS

The human body contains two different types of systems for performing different types of work. These systems are called the aerobic and the anaerobic systems. The anaerobic system is designed to promote strength and speed and is utilized by the body for shorter spans of high intensity activities. The aerobic system, on the other hand, is designed for endurance over a longer period of time. Notably, both systems develop differently in athletes.
