This book is intended for budding and seasoned practitioners of predictive modeling alike. Most of the material of this book has been used in lectures for graduates and working professionals as well as for R schools, so it has also been designed with the student in mind. Readers should be familiar with R, but even those who have never worked with this language should be able to pick up the necessary background by reading the online tutorial chapter.
