As we explored in the previous chapter, the Scrum Master, managers, and even individuals within the Scrum Team help each other and the overall team to improve. In doing so, they will frequently need to leverage the organization’s structure and culture to create the necessary conditions to help teams grow their capabilities and to improve the team’s focus on frequently delivering value. The organization’s structure and culture have a significant influence on a team’s identity, their process, and how they understand and measure product value. The challenge for everyone is to make the organization’s influence a positive one, rather than one that impedes the growth of Scrum Teams.
