Managing properties in Consul

The most comfortable way to add a single key to Consul is through its web dashboard. The other way is by using the /kv HTTP endpoint, which has been already described at the beginning of this chapter. When using a web console, you have to go to the section KEY/VALUE. Then, you may view all the currently existing keys and also create a new one by providing its full path and value, in any format. That feature is visualized in the following screenshot:
