Managing User Security

When someone knocks on the front door of your house, you want to know who is there before you open the door and let him or her inside. It is a matter of security. Before you let someone into your house, you must first verify their identity. But you can't stop there! Not only do you have to know who is at the door, but based on that information you also have to determine what you will allow that person to do in your home once inside. What permissions will you give them? Will you allow them to eat your food or sleep in your bed, or will they never even be allowed past the front entry?

You should have the same concerns for your databases. They must be secure. You must be able to lock out those individuals you do ...
