As a psychologist, I have been a witness to great pain and suffering, and did everything in my power to support and guide those who came to me for help, applying evidence-based practices to help pull them out of the problems my clients faced. I have seen the depths of the dark side of human nature; the agony of disturbing tragedies of the mind; wasted, unfilled lives. Far too many times, I have been powerless to save all the lost souls in my care. Some are beyond saving or salvation.
