Building the stage
Once we start up UDK, let's try to get an environment up with the minimal work possible. To do this, we will use the default map as a base and then adapt it to fit our workflow. With that said, let's get to creating!
Prepare for Lift Off
Before we start working on the project, we must first create a new map. To do this we must first go to File | New Level... and from the pop up that appears, select one of the top four options (Afternoon Lighting was chosen for the images you'll see here, but it doesn't matter which you choose).
Now that we have a base level to work in, let's start building our game!
