Configuring SQL Server for a View Composer database

To create a SQL database for View Composer, follow these steps:

  1. Open a console to the virtual machine running SQL Server and launch the Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio application. In the example lab, the SQL Server is installed on the same server that we are going to install View Composer on, so the server name is hzn7-cmp.pvolab.com. You will see the login box, as shown in the following screenshot:
  1. Log in using an account with the appropriate permissions. In this example, we are using the SA account. Click the Connect button.
  2. You will now see the SQL Server Management Studio
