15.1. Advanced Installation
As if having three different types of SharePoint installation; Basic, Advanced Stand-alone and Server Farm, were not enough, there are a couple other kinds of installation that need to be mentioned.
Depending on your needs, how you install SharePoint is integral to its function. A single mouse click, a single missed button will change a web front end server's function, even the whole farm's function, if you are not careful.
Take, for instance, Active Directory Account Creation Mode. This user mode can only be enabled and written to the configuration database of the server farm during installation. It cannot be changed, it cannot be set later.
