13.5. Managing Web Parts with STSADM

Web parts are one of the core components of any SharePoint deployment. In many ways, they are the building blocks of quite a bit of the content. In Chapter 4, "Introduction to Web Parts", you learned how to manipulate web parts within your pages and sites. However, as you probably noticed, there are some limitations to what you are able to do and some limits to where the parts you added to a site can be used later. Typically, a new web part introduced in that manner is limited to use in that site collection and its subsites.
