John Knoll understands imagery. Not only is he an experienced senior visual effects supervisor at Industrial Light & Magic (ILM), but along with his brother Thomas, he is also one of he co-creators of Adobe Photoshop. Knoll became ILM’s Chief Creative Officer in 2013 after starting with the studio in the mid-1980s as a motion control camera assistant.
Knoll’s credit list includes Baby’s Day Out, Star Trek: Generations, Mission: Impossible, Star Trek: First Contact, the Star Wars prequel trilogy, Mission to Mars, the first three Pirates of the Caribbean films, Avatar, Rango, Mission: Impossible—Ghost Protocol, and Pacific Rim.
