Nanomechanical properties and nanoscale deformation of engineering metals and alloys

Abstract:

Metals and alloys are widely used in transport and industry applications, due to their functionality. The nanomechanical properties and nanoscale deformation of engineering metals and alloys are investigated, together with pile-up/sink-in deformation mechanism analysis. The study of the onset of dislocation plasticity and possible phase transformations can be performed during the nanoindentation test.
