The development of human civilization is remarkable for the increasing role of science and scientific knowledge. This process was accompanied by qualitative and quantitative changes in science itself; first and foremost, they can be observed in integration of scientific disciplines. Initially, integration tendencies engaged natural sciences. For instance, physical chemistry and chemical physics, biological physics and biological chemistry appeared as independent scientific disciplines at the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century.
