Vector Algebra
There are four basic transformations in Geometry, given as the following:
- Translation
- Reflection
- Rotation
- Dilation or Re-sizing
Out of them, in the present chapter, we have discussed about the reflection and rotation. Besides that the vector algebra has been discussed.
1. Reflection of coordinates
In Geometry, the reflection is defined as flipping of an object across a plane mirror (shown by a line) without changing its size and shape. The reflection is thus a mirror image of the object. A line through which the reflection is taken is called the line of reflection. Though the reflected image has the same shape and the same size, but the image-faces are in the opposite sense.
