Parallel coordinates

Parallel coordinate plots are a popular way to visualize multi-dimensional numerical data. For n dimensions, consider n points along the xaxis. The y axis corresponds to the normalized range of values for each dimension. An n-dimensional data record is represented by joining the points (xi, yi) where xi = 1: n for the n dimensions, and yi is the normalized value of the ith dimension of that data point. If the range of values for all dimensions are similar, normalizing across all the records for each dimension is not necessary.
