At this juncture, all the basic lighting and texturing is complete. Nevertheless, if you double-check the material attribute settings and examine the custom bitmap quality, you are more likely to achieve an acceptable level of technical and aesthetic quality.

Duplicating Materials

For some surfaces, you may need to create duplicate materials so you can fine-tune the attributes independent of other surfaces. For example, the tuft of hair that appears at the woman's left eye is too bright and translucent. To avoid this problem, you can assign the tuft to a duplicate of the hair material and reduce the duplicate's Translucence value.
