  • Launch a remote application (URL remoting).

The .NET Framework provides a zero deployment (or no-touch deployment) model for deploying Windows applications. The reason behind the name zero deployment is that users are not required to deploy the application before executing it. Users can instead just run the application, and the application installs itself. In this deployment model, you keep all the necessary code and configuration files on a Web server and the users execute the application by just pointing to the URL of the .exe file from Internet Explorer. Launching a remote application with a URL is known as URL remoting.
