8.1. Disk-Level Security with BitLocker
You can protect your data on your disks by using New Technology File System (NTFS) and/or BitLocker Drive Encryption. NTFS permissions were covered in Chapter 6, but for some systems, you may want better protection.
BitLocker Drive Encryption (BitLocker for short) is relatively new. It is available in Windows Vista (Ultimate and Enterprise editions) and Windows Server 2008.
