The Active Directory forest is the topmost design structure that you as an administrator will normally deal with. A forest contains all the domains, trees, and objects for a particular organization. Ordinarily, most organizations use only one forest for the entire campus. However, in some large organizations, the design requirements may require multiple forests, or forest collaboration.
