A tunneling protocol that enables two nodes running both IPv4 and IPv6 across an IPv4 routing infrastructure to use a special address obtained by combining the prefix 2002::/16 with the 32-bit public IPv4 address to form a 48-bit prefix of the form 2002:wwxx:yyzz::/48 in the case of a public IPv4 address w.x.y.z. These nodes use this address type when communicating with each other.
