Configuring Remote Desktop Services Load Balancing
Remote Desktop Services Connection Broker (RD Connection Broker) is new and improved in Windows Server 2008 R2. Many of you will remember this feature from Windows Server 2003 as Remote Desktop Services Connection Directory. In its latest incarnation, it allows users to reconnect to a disconnected session in a load-balanced Remote Desktop Services server farm.
RD Connection Broker stores various session state information, like session ID and username, so a user can reconnect and resume work right where they left off even if the user has reconnected from a different client computer.
