Purpose

This chapter describes the DQAF as it was originally formulated and provides a high-level description of the DQAF’s measurement types. They are categorized in terms of objects of measurement, the measurement and control activities associated with data flow from a source to a target system, and the data quality dimensions of completeness, timeliness, validity, consistency, and integrity. The chapter includes diagrams of several basic processes that show what a comprehensive data quality measurement system might look like.
