CHAPTER 9Measuring Intangibles

INTANGIBLE MEASURES—that is, the nonmonetary benefits or detriments directly linked to leadership development that cannot or should not be converted to monetary values—are often monitored after a program has been implemented. Although they are not converted to monetary values, they are still important in the evaluation process and important to sponsors and clients. The range of intangible measures is almost limitless; this chapter describes a few common measures often linked with leadership development (see Table 9-1).
