Chapter 21: Conclusions and lessons from mechanism design, behavioral science, and artificial intelligence in international relations
Abstract
Traditional international relations (IR) approaches presume that states are rational, self-interested actors. The application of mechanism design, behavioral science, and artificial intelligence (AI) in IR is still in its infancy. However, it can potentially transform how we manage IR. We can create a more peaceful and prosperous world by comprehending human behavior, designing fair and efficient mechanisms, and using AI to make better decisions. This chapter concludes the IR applications of mechanism design, behavioral science, and AI.
