Exploring Distribution as a Condition: Elements of a Minor Metropolitanism
Urban design has long foregrounded the visual in the mise-en-scene of experience, from the sites of sovereignty to the street as stage for the collaborative constitution of urban multitudes. Reflecting on media architectures from within the horizon of contemporary processes of informatization, this essay takes as its point of departure the ways in which ambient media is woven into the fabric of the everyday, in terms the need to analytically grasp this distribution as a condition (Hansen 2015).
