Applying SpectraMatte

Media Composer includes a number of different keyers, but the best keyer for blue or green screen is the SpectraMatte effect. SpectraMatte not only provides a better quality key compared to the RGB keyer effect, it also makes it easy to fine-tune your keys and to solve problems such as controlling shadows and removing color spill. In this lesson, you’ll work with a simple sequence that includes two layers all set up for some green screen keying.

To use SpectraMatte:

1. Open Media Composer, select AGENT ZERO PT2 in the Projects list, and click OK. The Project window opens and lists two bins.

2. Double-click the AZ PT2 FX SEQUENCES bin in the Project window.
