Modeling and model fitting
Abstract
Models for a wide variety of analytics can borrow from other fields of science and engineering. In this chapter, we apply principles from chemistry, organic chemistry, and biology to system modeling—model design, model fit, and model analysis—and then provide some important approaches to the metrology of such model approaches. The number of possible analogous for model design and the fields of science and engineering are virtually limitless, meaning the goal of this chapter is to show how to use scientific and engineering principles in the building of intelligent analytic systems. After these analogues and analogies are described, the concept of anonymization is applied to analytics for the purposes ...
