Practice of Micro Cross Wedge Rolling
Abstract
This chapter presents the practice of micro cross wedge rolling (MCWR). The design of MCWR machine and the forming process analysis have been carried out. In MCWR process, the micro product quality is assessed in terms of the surface morphology, dimensional accuracy, and mechanical properties. The surface wear of MCWR tool and the surface toughness evolution have been investigated. This chapter also focuses on the influences of springback and friction behavior on the MCWR product profile quality (surface roughness and dimensional accuracy) and seeks for the optimum processing parameters.
