At about the same time the color option for the Windows version of PowerPoint was released, I was deeply involved in the production of a high-profile, high-impact multimedia presentation targeted for business community reps at an annual national business conference. The stakes were high for this project because if done successfully, the multimedia presentation would boost a city’s revenue through its marketing campaign as a prime destination for hosting conventions, trade shows, and national events. The city’s chamber of commerce told my team to pull out all the stops to ensure the presentation would not only wow the audience but also ensure a standing ovation at the end of the show.
