Creating BAM for a solution
Business Activity Monitoring (BAM) is quite possibly the most important aspect of BizTalk and it is also the most overlooked. There are so many flashy parts of the platform that are immediately eye catching, like maps and orchestrations, that many developers simply overlook the use of BAM. Until recently, it was also not well understood. As discussed in Chapter 2, Introduction to BizTalk Development, BAM is an amazingly powerful toolset that allows us to create rich interactive reporting based on our BizTalk solutions. BAM does not require custom code and produces so much value that it is amazing to see solutions that don't leverage it.
