This task is required whenever the model store is imported or a model is installed. Importing XPO will normally trigger a database synchronization, but it is a good idea to synchronize the database after XPO has been imported. Importing models and XPOs was covered in Chapter 3, Model management.
We may also have to trigger this manually if we are alerted to database errors by a user. If they try to access a field that doesn't physically exist on the database, they will receive an error similar to the one shown in the following screenshot:
