Custom activities are those activities that have been created as new entities, with the selection set defining the entity as an activity entity (as shown in Figure 7.26).

Tip
An entity can only be set as an activity entity during initial creation.
Custom activities can be almost anything you would like them to be, and they have the benefit in showing in the activities area in CRM and Outlook, provided you have selected the Display in Activity Menus option shown in Figure 7.26. Figure 7.27 shows the activities we have created with the option selected.
