Define Goal Metrics

To create a new Goal, select New and then follow the steps on the Goal Metric interface (see Figure 8.43).

1. Define the metric by entering the name and the metric type. The metric type can be either count or amount. For our example we’re going to track the amount of new leads created.

If you select Track Stretch Target, you have the option to use this metric to have a stretch target field.

2. Next, you need to create a new Rollup field that tracks the metric data by selecting Add New Rollup Field from the Ribbon menu.

Tip

You will not be able to create a new rollup metric or add a new one until the form is saved and you are presented with the List Tools Ribbon menu, as shown in Figure 8.44.
